Picasa 2 - Making a picture collage

by Lilian ·

Do you wonder how people got a photo with a collage of multiple photos?  Well, it is very easy to do if you download the Picasa 2 free software.

This is the working board on your Picasa 2 showing you a list of all the photos in your PC.  Just select the number of photos you want to be made into a collage.  A selection of 4-5 photos will be nice.

On the top menu, select Create > Picture collage

Next, you will get a choice of  collage to make like Picture Pile, Picture Gride, Contact Sheet and Multiple Exposure.  You can also choose the background colour, whether white, grey, black  or using one of the photo as background.

Just experiment with all the choices and have fun playing around .  I don’t normally make picture collages for my online sharing because I like my photos to be the biggest my page  can accomodate.

This is the Picture Grid option.  When you are satisfied, just click Create and there you have it, a photo with multiple shots.  Nice and easy, eh?  Here is the link to explain more about Picasa.

How do I delete all those automatic duplicates obtained on import from a CD after clicking the “Prevent Duplicates” box?

    Hi Charles
Normally, all the photos you see on Picasa are stored in My Pictures folder, unless you specify otherwise. If you have clicked the Exclude Duplicates, I suppose they don’t copy the pictures over to Picasa/yr My Pictures folder? There is an option for you to completely wipe out the photos you have downloaded, usually from my memory cards. The option is available where the Import all button is. Hope this helps.

How would I get Picasa to store all photos on my Graphics partition, G:\, where the picasa program is installed, instead of in my pictures on C:\?
    Thank you.

Hi Spike - If say you are downloading new batch of photos..
    1) It will prompt you to ‘Import All’
    New window will pop up
    2) There is an option where you want to store your photos, use the browse button and choose your G drive.

If you already have all the photos in your C drive, then, copy them over to your G drive and future photos will no longer go to your C drive.

    Cheers!
